Product Description: A classic example of what TerraMai does best - interpreting reclaimed wood for a modern design sensibility. We started with an underutilized resource - discarded white oak railway shipping dunnage - and worked with our community of architects and designers to understand how this material could best serve their aesthetic and technical needs. The result is a unique, beautiful and versatile flooring product - wide plank white oak with an extra-thick wear layer over an FSC ply substrate, with black fill and a natural clear oil finish. We call this product 'Mission Oak' not only to evoke the reverential use of oak during America's Mission and Craftsman eras, but also to reference TerraMai's mission to turn neglected wood resources into unique, high-performance products developed for the most sophisticated design projects.
