We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Specialist to support our sales organization by nurturing leads, qualifying opportunities, and driving product sales with prospects. This is primarily an inside sales role limited travel focused on outbound and inbound prospecting, lead follow-up, providing product information to customers, quoting projects and ultimately selling than managing projects.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships, enjoys consultative conversations, and is comfortable working with a high volume of calls, emails, and CRM activity.
The ideal candidate will be based within commuting distance of our headquarters in Southern Oregon. Some travel may be required but this is primarily an inside sales position.

About the Role
Sales Specialist – National Brands to lead TerraMai’s efforts with major retail, food & beverage, and hospitality chains across the United States. This is a quota-carrying, inside sales role focused on selling directly into national and multi-location brands such as Target, Starbucks, Lululemon, and similar companies.
You will be responsible for developing new brand relationships, driving specifications, quoting projects, closing business, and managing multi-location rollouts. Your focus will be on high-value accounts with 5 or more locations where TerraMai can create long-term partnerships.
This position is ideal for a sales professional who thrives on consultative conversations, strategic relationship-building, and the challenge of coordinating with multiple stakeholders — including store planners, designers, procurement teams, and general contractors — to ensure successful brand-wide implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Quota Ownership: Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for TerraMai’s exterior and interior product lines with national brands.
- National Brand Selling: Call on key decision-makers at multi-location companies (store planners, procurement leads, developers, franchise owners) to secure specification and drive adoption across multiple locations.
- Program Development: Work to turn one-off projects into repeatable programs or brand standards, creating scalable partnerships with national accounts.
- Pipeline & Forecasting: Build and manage a robust opportunity pipeline in Salesforce, tracking project details and maintaining accurate revenue forecasts.
- Follow-Up & Closing: Quote projects, respond to RFQs, and proactively move opportunities from early-stage to close.
- Technical Consultation: Educate brand teams on wood performance, durability, finish options, installation details, and maintenance best practices.
- Account Nurturing: Maintain and expand relationships within existing brand accounts to drive repeat business and multi-location rollouts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with estimating, operations, and marketing to deliver samples, proposals, and ensure seamless execution for brand rollouts.
- Market Intelligence: Track competitor activity and share insights with leadership to inform product development and strategy. Your feedback will directly influence future product introductions.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in sales or business development, ideally with multi-location brands, retail programs, or national accounts.
- Experience selling building materials, architectural finishes, or construction-related products.
- Understanding of wood species, finishes, and performance characteristics (experience with exterior wood products is a strong plus).
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales quotas.
- Strong communication and presentation skills — able to speak with both technical and non-technical decision-makers.
- Highly organized, self-driven, and comfortable managing a high volume of outreach, quoting, and follow-up.
- CRM experience required (Salesforce preferred).
