Mission Oak Flooring & Paneling – Blacksmith
A classic example of what TerraMai does best – great looking, soulful reclaimed wood products designed and built for high-volume commercial projects. Perfect for residential and smaller commercial projects as well. We call this flooring & paneling ‘Mission Oak’ not only to evoke the reverential use of oak during America’s Mission and Craftsman eras, but also to reference TerraMai’s mission to turn neglected wood into unique, high-performance products developed for the most sophisticated design projects. This version is engineered flooring and paneling prefinished with a tinted natural oil.
Species: Quercus rubra
Source: Reclaimed red oak from industrial shipping in the eastern U.S.
Construction: Wear layer is FSC Certified recycled oak 1/8″ (3 mm) thick over an FSC-certified new wood substrate.
Net Dimensions: 1/2″ (12.7 mm) total thickness x 4-1/2″ (114 mm) face width x 1′ (30.5 cm) to 7′ (213.4 cm) random lengths (with overall average of 3′ long).
Millwork: Three-ply, single-strip construction. Tongue & groove profile with micro-bevel. End-matched.
Finish: Low-VOC stain and low-VOC polyurethane.
Character: Occasional prefilled nail and other holes, prefilled surface checking, sound tight knots and other signs of prior history and use. Prefilled with black epoxy.
