Product Description: Aviation history meets reclaimed wood history with our Moffett Field Redwood Lumber. This premium old-growth redwood comes from the legendary Hangar One zeppelin hangar at Moffett Field near Mountain View, CA. Completed in 1931 by the U.S. Navy, and now operated by the NASA Ames Research Center, Hangar One is one of America's unique structures. This redwood, originally used as part of the roof infrastructure, was milled in the 1920s during the glory days of the California redwood lumber industry. The material was uncovered as part of a recent renovation. The legendary durability of redwood makes it ideal for exterior applications. The beauty of this material also makes it a great candidtate for even the most refined interior applications.
