Coastal Cedar Siding

Coastal Cedar is a beautiful blond wood similar in tone to White Oak.  This species has exceptionally straight grain and produces siding that is strong yet light, resistant to insects and rot, and very dimensionally stable.
Source: Sustainably harvested from the Northwestern United States

Net Dimensions:

  • Rainscreen profile:  4-1/4” wide (including 1/4" reveal) x 5/8" thick x 4’ - 10’ random lengths.
  • Shiplap profile:  4-1/4" wide (including 1/4" reveal) x 3/4" thick x 4' - 10' random lengths.

Millwork: Surfaced four sides (S4S).

Finish: Available with Clear Protective Sealer or Color Protecting Exterior Finish on all faces, edges, and ends.
  • Clear Protective Sealer provides added moisture protection while allowing the wood to develop a silver/grey natural patina over time.
  • Color Protecting Exterior Finish protects the wood from UV exposure and moisture to help maintain the original color of the wood.
Character: Sound, tight knots of all sizes.  As with most exterior woods, over time and with exposure to the elements, it may develop a silvery grey weathered patina and possible shallow surface checking. This does not affect structural performance of the material.  Specify Color Protecting Exterior Finish if maintaining the original color of the wood is desired.

Contributes to: LEED V4 Low-Emitting Materials (Possible 3 Points)

Shiplap 4-1/4” x 3/4” $18.95 $20.95

Note: Proper acclimation and design is critical to a successful project. Please review the TerraMai installation guidelines for details. Exterior woods, over time and exposure to the elements, will develop shallow surface checking. This does not affect structural performance of the material.
