» bleacher stock douglas fir
Add an infusion of Southern California beach culture
to your project with TerraMai’s newest inventory of reclaimed
bleacher stock, direct from Huntington Beach High School in Huntington
Beach, Calif.
These bleachers yield amazing, clear-vertical-grain
(CVG) Douglas fir. As-is, these pieces come with rich character,
complete with stenciled seat numbers, worn varnish and four decades
worth of restless teen graffiti. Remilled or surfaced, this material
reveals the golden-honey and warm-orange coloring inherent in clear,
tight-grain, old-growth Douglas fir. Material like this is virtually
unavailable new.
The dimensions of this stock range from approximately
1/2” to 1-1/4” thick x 7” to 11” wide x
16’ to 20’ long. Some pieces are solid and some are
edge-joined. All are clear, CVG Douglas fir.
This bleacher stock is suitable for a variety
of applications, including paneling, trim and even wide-plank flooring.
With our unique in-house custom capabilities, we can mill this material
to suit your design and building needs. This stock is also ideal
for any project that seeks to connect to California surf or youth
culture.
Huntington Beach High School is located about
one mile from the Pacific Ocean. Notable alumni include members
of the bands Avenged Sevenfold and Hellogoodbye, as well as former
Ultimate Fighting Champion (UFC) Light Heavyweight Champion Tito
Ortiz, also known as the “Huntington Beach Bad Boy.”
Note: Our marketing department incorrectly listed
the source of this material as Edison High School in Huntington
