Description: TerraMai’s reclaimed teak comes from
vintage buildings slated for demolition in Southeast Asia. Our teak
house posts, beams and lumber have the rich color, tight grain,
and legendary durability only found in old-growth Asian teak. Age,
environment and decades of human use have seasoned this wood with
a weathered silver-grey patina. Once re-milled, the wood reveals
a color palette of mellow golds, coppers and tans, with rich brown
and silver grain highlights. New, plantation-grown teak from Central
America simply cannot compare to old-growth Asian teak. The installations
and furnishings created from TerraMai’s reclaimed teak become
one-of-a-kind showpieces wherever they are used.
