Untreated hardwood railway ties were laid throughout Asia, Southeast Asia and Africa in the late 1800's and early 1900's. They are now being pulled up and replaced with concrete ties during renovation. These ties were made of a mix of the amazing woods found in the respective regions. Our ties currently come from Southeast Asia and are a mixture of 17 of the most durable species on the planet, making exquisite lifetime floors.
