World Mix tropical hardwood flooring comes from packing material from all around the world. With minimal character and a fantastic array of colors this floor can help you take a walk on the wild side of the product pallet. We also sort these woods to create a riot of brown hues in our Coco Loco Mix or a mellow blend of golden tones in our Oro Primo Mix to match specific design themes. These floors are classic solid length and end-matched, typically offered in 3" widths. The source of this floor is packing material taken from the dizzying array of imported shipments that arrive in the United States daily. If not diverted, much of this material would simply be ground into chips at a municipal landfill.

 
 

The most amazing part of this story is that the woods used for packaging can be some of the most beautiful, durable woods in the world. In fact, a high grade of dense old-growth hardwood is required by many customs laws to ensure the safety of the products and the shippers. With some effort and with cooperation from many private and public entities, TerraMai is salvaging these fantastic woods and giving them a lifetime of higher use - as an heirloom floor.

Kiln dried to 6 -8% moisture content. Hardness rating 1500 - 3200.
