For centuries Douglas
fir has been a softwood staple in North American construction
because of its decorative grain patterns, rich golden color
and exceptional strength. It was the flooring of choice in
the western United States well into the 20th century. Beautiful,
in-use, 100-year floors are still found in countless heritage
buildings around the country.
