Even wood nerds need a little time away from the mill every once in a while; to bond, unwind, commune with nature and gorge on great food. That’s what TerraMai’s annual summer river trip is all about.

This year’s event was held last weekend on the Klamath River, not too far from TerraMai’s facility in McCloud, CA. These outings also offer company co-founders Erika Carpenter and Richard McFarland a chance to connect with their roots. Both were river guides before founding TerraMai (formerly Jefferson Recycled Woodworks) in 1991.

TerraMai is located in one of the most spectacular natural settings in the world. Living and working in such surroundings helps keep us in touch with nature and committed to our environmental ethics.
